School District Taps Trapeze Networks for Manageable Wi-Fi Solidarity.

Wireless network connectivity in public education is a high-stakes arena. The need is great, there’s never enough money, and the eyes of the community are focused smack dab on every decision that’s made. Jobs have been lost simply for selecting the wrong product or vendor. If the installation doesn’t live up to expectations, someone has to pay. So when Colorado Springs-based Academy School District 20 made a decision to centralize its 30 isolated islands of Wi-Fi spots over 123 square miles and 30 campus sites, only four vendors were invited to participate in a stringent testing environment: Aruba Networks, Meru Networks, Xirrus and Trapeze Networks.
